This award was instituted to encourage young scientists working in India who made
significant contributions in rice research and development. The selected candidate is awarded
with a cash prize of Rs 5000, a Medal and a Citation.
Eligibility:
» Ph.D. in Agriculture or in allied sciences in the disciplines related to agriculture (specific
   to rice) from any recognized University/Institute
» At least five years of professional experience on rice research
» Age should be not more than 40 years as on February 29, 2024
» Should be a life member of SARR
» Should have published at least 2 papers in JRR
» The nomination should be forwarded by the Head of the Department/Institution
» A Committee will be constituted by the Executive Council of SARR to evaluate the
   applications and the recommendations of the Committee have to be approved by the
   Executive Council, SARR
» The awardee shall deliver a talk based on his/her contributions submitted for the award
